St Mary’s Free Christmas Lunch

Welcome to Our Website

This non–religeous but festive event has been taking place for over twenty years and provides a traditional Christmas lunch for those people of Aylesbury, and surrounding area who, for whatever reason, would otherwise not have a proper meal on Christmas day. It is run with the support of sponsors from the wider community of Aylesbury, as well as team of dedicated volunteers.

Going Back to the Normal Format

The Christmas Lunch event 2022 is going to take on the format that we’ve been more used to this year, as in we will be providing a proper sit down meal, complete with all the trimmings.

Why do people come?

Because they may otherwise be alone at Christmas.
Because spending Christmas at home may be difficult for some, following a bereavement for example.
Because they may want to do something different.
Because they want the share the true meaning of Christmas with others.
Because they may not have a home.

Who can attend?

Anyone – it is not dependant on age or religious belief – everyone is welcome.

What does it cost?

Nothing – your Christmas dinner is entirely FREE – paid for by the kind sponsorship by benefactors.

When does it take place?

Christmas Day, December 25th, 12.00 noon to 3.00pm.

What should I expect?

A three course hot traditional Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings (veggie option available).
Other entertainment
Presents and …

Where does it take place?

The Parish Church of St. Mary’s in St. Mary’s Square, Aylesbury, Bucks, UK.

How can I get there?

Transport can be arranged for those in the Aylesbury area who cannot get there independently, but we must have prior notice if you need to make use of this service. Please call us on 07598 316126.

Do I need to reserve a place?

No, just turn up on the day!

Who does the work?

Everything is done by a team of dedicated volunteers who organise and put on the event on Christmas Day. We are always looking for more people to help, so if you would like to lend a hand please see the Volunteers page.
